Greg Reid may prove to be FSU's biggest recruiting coup in years. The Noles are getting a genuine triple threat: dynamite running back (1,242 yards and 16 TDs last year), Top-4 true corner (8 INTS his soph. season alone), and a kick return guy that should remind many Noles of Deion Sanders. Reid will be the cherry on top of FSU's signing day sundae. What's more, he could be the first of several surprises on Wednesday, perhaps leading other guys on the bubble to follow his lead.
Maybe the best thing about Reid: He's the one that got away from Urban "the Ego" Meyer and that team to the South. Imagine the look on Urbie's face when Reid burns the reptiles with a TD return on a kickoff, punt or interception.
Note: Listen at the end of Reid's announcement as host Mike Davis invites Gerald Demps, FSU's other Lowndes commitment, to join his teammate on the stage.
