Just when you thought there'd be no juicy bulletin board material to spike this year's FSU - Miami shootout -- Splat! -- we're hit with a brash rap video laced with Nole taunts. Like a rotten tomato thrown from a crowd, we're not quite sure who did it.
Are the raunchy rappers just UM fans? Or are G. Spot, S. Nim, Mike B and the others actually pseudonyms for Miami players (Manny Navarro of The Miami Herald writes that Jacory Harris "has been rapping since he was in high school")?
Long-time Seminole fans instantly see the coincidence. For them, 21 years hasn't dimmed the memory of the Seminole Rap that backfired on FSU like a '77 Camaro. A team with so much promise -- and overdosed on swagger -- made a similar video (seen below). It became the Mother-of-All bulletin board material, sparking the Canes to a 31 - 0 win.
By the way, if you believe that the Woof Gods punish cockiness with bad mojo, you're not surprised by the big news out of Coral Gables. Now with only a true frosh QB behind him, Jacory Harris will need a superhuman effort from his OL to keep Markus White and company from clipping the wings of the Ibis.
