This guy deserves an autographed team football and the honor of planting the flaming spear at the 50-yard line. James Warren of Panama City was bummed about the slow pace of 2009 season ticket sales. So he took it upon himself to become a one-man task force to fill the stadium.
So, James, how did you do it?
"I got a lot of current boosters to upgrade with promises of better seats and parking. Tons of new boosters that didn't know the process and how easy it was, especially when I helped. They didn't know they could pay throughout the year. I'm over 150 signed (so far) but I've gotten so busy I quit counting."
Did the athletic department and the team take notice?
"I think they appreciated it. They rolled out the red carpet for me Friday before Showtime. I spent a lot of time with Coach Bowden (evidenced by the photo above) and all the coaches came by and shook my hand. The Garnet and Gold girls all knew who I was."
What reasons did fans give for letting their Seminole spirit lapse?
"A lot of disenchantment stemming from the Jeff era, economy, losing, etc."
