Two seasons and four games. That's what we have to judge Jimbo on. In all, thirty games, for better or worse, including the resulting offensive statistics.
We thought it was important to review his work at the 30-game mark, using the most obvious stats. Not that we're presenting an argument or taking a side. It's still too early for that, despite the sparks that are beginning to fly after Fisher's offense whiffed against USF (if it were an actual bullfight, FSU would've been a novice matador being gored by one nasty toro).
So whether you love 'em or hate 'stats, these numbers at least give you one black and white, "they are what they are," objective way to evaluate FSU's Head Coach in Waiting.
Overall Record: 18 - 12 Home Game Record: 9 - 6 ACC Record: 9 - 7 Points per Game Average: 28.4 Avg. Passing Yards Per Game: 224.5 Avg. Rush Yards Per Game: 147.43

You can't judge Jimbo when until he has control of the program. You already have another article on here explaining how the coaches don't get along and that Chuck Amato is actively trying to undermine Jimbo. Black and white statistics only tell part of the story. If he were simply the offensive coordinator and someone was holding the defensive staff accountable for their poor recruiting and out of date schemes, then you could write an article about Jimbo's success or failure.

Jimbo had to do all this with the awful recruiting talent under Jeff Bowden. I think having the best offense in the ACC with the youngest O-Line in the nation and a Soph QB says it all.

I'd like to see a similar chart on Mark Richt's first 30 games, and Jeff Bowden's first 30, complete with all the same statistics. Maybe even Brad Scott's record.
