Mr. Wright I would argue that the Archives of the Florida Legislature are a pretty credible primary source. I would certainly accept for a paper in one of the history classes that I teach.

A fine story, one that might be slightly more trustworthy were there any citations at all beyond "here are some books."

Good read. Just one quibble: "populous" is an advective, "populace" is a noun.
